Kapor Farm

The farm is located in Cappadocia, an area with unique geological, historic, and cultural features. Agriculture, livestock, tourism, carpet weaving, and pottery are main means of livelihood in the region which has continental climate. The host Osman Bey has devoted himself to develop the region in the fields of organic farming and alternative tourism. The products of the farm are organic since 1994 and certified since 2008, and are available in 100% Ecological Markets of Bugday. Osman Bey is considerably experienced and knowledgeable in organic farming and welcoming all organic farming enthusiasts to his farm where product variety is wide. Volunteers stay in the rooms found in the facility which also serves as a boutique hotel.

DEC-JAN-FEB: Preparations for the market (taking products out of storage, boxing, etc), MAR: Greenhouse, seed selection, sowing, APR-JUN: Planting, hoeing, pruning, MAY-JUN: Watering, harvest (mulberries, cherries), JUL-AUG: Harvest (strawberries), hoeing, SEP-NOV: Harvest, vintage, NOV: Storage
